First on Harley’s farm, then in the morgue, and now where I go to buy my beer. What is happening Joel?
―Scott asks Joel while they are standing in the grocery store parking lot surrounded by the dead they just put down.[src]

Scott Bell is a main character in Finding Eden. Scott is a Deputy in the Lawrence County Sheriff's department and Joel's partner.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Scott was born and raised in New Wilmington, PA. He has been a Deputy for a year. It seems as though Scott reminds Joel of himself when he was younger. Scott is shown as being cocky and rash. According to Caleb and Sophie Scott had a crush on Eve back in the day when they were all in school and that it may be why he joined the Sheriff's Department to get closer to her father.

It is revealed by Captain White that Scott's parents are on vacation in the Florida Keys and their fates are currently unknown.

Appearances[]

Season 1[]

"Homecoming"[]

Deputy Scott Bell and his partner Sheriff Joel Murphy sit in their car on the side of the highway. They get a call about a dead body on Farmer Harley's farm and they go to check it out. Deputy Rebecca Hawkins gives them the run down on the victim and they are dumbfounded by his manner of death. Joel notices a faint blood trail which him and Scott follow which leads them to the perpetrator, who takes a shot to the leg and chest by Scott before finally being put down by Joel with a shot to the head.

"Hey There Eve"[]

Scott is at the morgue with Joel waiting on Dr. Valerie Fisher's findings. She tells them the two bodies died around the same time which Scott cannot believe as one of them was still up attacking them not too long ago. Joel and Scott are frustrated and head out. Scott thinks Joel has a thing for Dr. Fisher and Joel does not answer him.

"Contained"[]

Scott is at the morgue with Joel and Rebecca the next day looking over Josh Dempsey's reanimated dead body. Scott cracks a joke in poor taste about the body not needing transport again. Scott heads to the grocery store with Joel, Rebecca and the other deputies when they get a call about a disturbance. When Scott and the others arrive at the store the front glass of the store breaks and they are met by dozens of infected. Scott tells Rebecca to "Aim for the head" when Rebecca shoots an infected twice without any effect. Scott, Joel and the other deputies open fire on the infected coming towards them until all the infected are dead.

"John 11:25"[]

Joel instructs Scott and Rebecca to stay at the grocery store and make sure all the dead are actually "dead" while he heads back to the hospital to check up on Valerie. Later on Scott and Rebecca are inside the grocery store surveying the carnage and Scott remarks that if what happened there is the disease on the news is talking about then it may take a while for the Government to sort things out.

"Need to Know"[]

Scott is first seen outside the medical tent with Rebecca. When Joel, Eve, and Caleb walk up Scott has an awkward interaction with Eve, showing he still has feelings for her. Joel goes to get Scott to help him with sneaking into the hospital. The two head over to the ER entrance and head inside as nobody is guarding it. While going through the hallways they head a noise behind them which turns out to be Valerie tripping over an IV stand. The 3 head to the hallway where near the basement entrance to see two guards standing watch. Valerie runs out distracting the two guards and they take her away. Joel and Scott head down into the basement and find that the army is killing people they suspect are infected and throwing them into the incinerator. While Joel and Scott are looking at the dead bodies piled up they hear rifles being cocked behind them and turn around to see a few soldiers pointing guns at them.

"Our Sins"[]

Joel and Scott are taken in front of Captain Mason White. Mason then goes on to explain what he is really doing at the hospital. Mason then explains that he is going to have Joel and Scott killed and thrown in the incinerator. Mason also reveals that Scott's parents are currently on vacation in the Florida Keys. Mason also reveals that his wife and daughter died in the first Suleiman bombing in Chicago earlier that year as the Wildfire virus was first spreading and Mason was forced to put them both down as they reanimated. Mason also reveals to Joel and Scott that the virus is airborne and that everybody at the hospital probably already has it and will return if they die so Mason is determined to make sure that nobody else will have to go through what he went through in Chicago. Joel and Scott are led downstairs by a few soldiers. Rebecca, Dante, and Valerie ambush the soldiers and free them. The 5 of them head back outside with a couple M16s from the soldiers they killed. Joel wants to warn the civilians in the parking lot about what Mason is doing but because of all the sound that came from the hospital newly deceased people in town who have died have started to swarm the fences of the hospital. The group consisting of Joel, Scott, Eve, Zack, Rebecca, Valerie, Sophie, Caleb, Dante, Manuela, Rachel, and Landon are forced to flee the hospital on foot unable to get a working vehicle in time. They start heading west until they come to an intersection where they are forced to hide in Ryder's restaurant as they spot a big group of walkers passing by. Scott informs Zack that he has almost zero trust in the military after having to deal with Captain White trying to kill them. Zack and Scott almost get into a fight.
